Mission
To represent Manitobans age 50 plus by promoting their needs and concerns and by presenting a positive image of older adults in the community.
The Manitoba Society of Seniors Inc. was started by a group of older Manitobans in 1979 who felt there was a need for a united voice on issues affecting them.
MSOS informs all levels of government, social service agencies, business and the media about issues affecting older adults today, such as health care, pensions, housing, transportation, utilities, as well as lifestyle and financial issues.
From our provincial office in Winnipeg, we coordinate a communication network consisting of individual members, Regional Councils and the Board of Directors. To meet the needs of our members and the senior population in Manitoba,
we offer many benefits and services. A dedicated Board of Directors, staff and hundreds of volunteers ensure delivery of our programs.
