Rides for Seniors
Available to seniors in the community of St. James/Assiniboia who reside in their own home or apartment, can walk independently, canes or walkers acceptable, and are unable to access other forms of transportation safely. All rides are dependent on the availability of drivers on the day, time, & destination requested. Service operates Monday to Friday 9 am – 4 pm September to July. Call 987-8855 for an information package which includes a registration form.

Home Maintenance Referral Program
This program refers reliable service providers to help seniors with home maintenance or repairs including yard work, snow removal, cleaning, and handyman jobs. Call 987-8858 for details

Resources in the Community
There are many in home services available for seniors including hair care, footcare, dental, laundry, meals, milk delivery, eyeglass care, reflexology, massage etc. Call 987-8858.

Volunteers
he Magic of Volunteering at the St. James/Assiniboia Senior Centre. Short term, one- time or project positions available that make the best use of your free time and skills. There are many benefits to volunteering and if you wish to add a bit of magic to your life and join our volunteer team call Adele Spence at 987-8858. We presently have 150 volunteers who work at the reception desk, drive, assist at special events, assemble newsletters, sit on committees, and help with community displays.
