The Roblin & District Community Help Centre provides support services to seniors to help them to remain independent and live in their own homes. Services include:
  • Seniors Congregate Meal Program
  • Lifeline Response System Handivan
  • Assistance in filling out forms
  • Information and referral to other services and organizations
  • Advocacy


One stop information and referral:
Questions?The Community Help Centre provides assistance to seniors in filling in a number of forms like Old Age Security, Supplement, Canada Pension Plan, 55 Plus, Home Improvement Programs and others. Remember you must apply for these programs. Even the simplest form can be overwhelming. We are glad to help1 you fill them out.

Do you need information about?
  • Home Care programs
  • Admission to a personal care home
  • Renting an apartment at Maple Manor and Roblin Residence
  • Support groups such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson disease
  • Housecleaning / yard services
  • Finding a lost birth certificate or marriage license

The Staff at the Community Help Centre knows how to get you in touch with the right people for your particular needs.

The Community Help Centre is a community non-profit organization governed by an elected local Board of Directs who can serve three two- year terms. The Parkland Regional Health Authority provides a grant to assist with staff salaries. All other operating costs are the responsibility of the local community. The financial support from the Town of Roblin and the R.M. of Shell River and several Roblin organizations, businesses and individuals is supported.
The Roblin & District Community Help Centre is a member and participate in the Donor's Choice campaign.The Drop-In Centre provides office space at no charge.


Congregate Meal Programs
The Community Help Centre sponsors congregate meal programs at Roblin Residence and Maple Manor. Suppers are offered secven days a week at RoblinResidence and at Maple Manor. Home- style meals are prepared on site following Canada’s Food Guide. Christmas and Thanksgiving Dinners and the annual joint summer picnic are special occasions.

Lifeline Response System
Help is just a button push away. One press of a button worn around the neck puts you in  touch with a Lifeline helper. Even if you are not able to speak, Lifeline can still get help for you by calling your “responders”; friends or family members who will come to your home. Lifeline gives you confidence knowing that there someone standing by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
