What is M.A.S.S. (Moris Area Senior Services)
◊A program designed to offer support services to seniors of the community, enabling them to enjoy their independence for as long as possible.

◊M.A.S.S. is part of a Provincial Senior Support Services program, directly responsible to the Central Region Health Authority.

◊Operations / Decisions handled by a local Volunteer Board of Directors.


Who is Eligible?
*Seniors 65 years and older

*If under 65, based on need or resources

*Physically-challenged Adults

*Most services on a Fee-for-Service  basis, with reasonable rates. [Exemptions or variations explained in the following listing of services

*Qualified Service Providers are available for a variety of services.

    Homemade, full-course meals served to Seniors, and all physically-challenged adults, in a friendly, family style setting.

Age Friendly Manitoba and the RM of Morris

Summary of Morris Survey Findings
As part of a community consultation held in Morris on October 27, 2008, individuals were asked to complete a brief questionnaire designed to collect information on the age-friendliness of their community. A total of 15 questionnaires were completed; all individuals identified Morris as their community of residence. This report summarizes the findings from the 15 individuals who completed the Age-Friendly Communities Survey; 40% identified themselves as a senior. Go

Priorities: Age-Friendly Morris Advisory Committee Community Meeting Summary
Community consultations are being held with seniors and community members in a number of communities in Manitoba as part of a larger AgeFriendly Initiative. The goal of these community consultations is to assist communities to prioritize issues that will help them form action plans to make the community as agefriendly as possible. In October of 2008, fifteen individuals in Morris, Manitoba came together to talk about age-friendly priorities and issues within their community.
