Remember... we are not to be confused with Home Care! Our program is intended to fill the gaps in existing services and resources in our communities. Each community has it’s own individual needs and resources.

Goals of the Program
Seniors’ Independent Services is a support service for the seniors and disabled, serving the communities of Baldur, Belmont, Glenora and the R.M.’s of Argyle and Strathcona.

The service is supported by Manitoba Health, but is community designed and owned.

We are a non-profit organization and are dependent on fund-raising events, grants, donations, municipal and community support for the costs day to day operations, such as phone bills, office supplies, program supplies (ie cassettes and mailing pouches for gazette tapes; paper for Newsletters; ink for printers, etc.)

Thank you to all the individuals and groups who have supported us over the past 14 years.

Each week watch for our column in The Gazette, keeping you informed of new events, money saving programs, and of course our weekly ‘Grin Bin.’

For Pharmacy deliveries to Belmont, please be sure to contact Connie at Baldur Pharmacy on Monday or first thing Wednesday morning, to ensure she has time to have everything ready for pickup by 10:00 on Wednesdays.

Our program was developed, across Manitoba, to enable disabled and older members of our communities to live independently for as long as possible.
