Rest Haven meal program operates three days a week with supper served on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 5 PM. The cost for a meal is $5.00. This program offers home cooked meals and encourages seniors to volunteer for preparation and clean up. Rides are provided upon request.
Driver/escort program - this service is available to those needing rides for doctor, dentist appointments, etc. The client pays the driver a fee to cover the cost of gas for the vehicle. Meals and parking are the responsibility of the client.
PenPal Program - Both seniors and students look forward to the exchange of letters and meeting their penpal at the tea in May.
The Lifeline Program - this is an emergency response program where a unit is placed in the home to allow the client to call for help. The client wears a pendant and can push a button when help is needed. Each unit requires three responders with the Ambulance Service being the fourth.
Foot Clinic - We have five nurses that volunteer their time for the foot clinics. The cost for this service is $7.00. Appointments can be booked by calling the office.
Coffee/Activity — this program operates out of the Lions Manor every third Friday at 1:30 from October to April. The program consists of a special feature or activity. Coffee and a snack are provided. Cost is $1.00. All are welcome to attend.
E.R.I.K. Emergency Response Information Kit - This is the Emergency Response Information Kit. It consists of a clear folder with pertinent information needed in the event of an emergency. A red sticker is placed on an outside door advising emergency personnel that all the information is on the fridge. This information is essential during a crisis, it saves time and confusion at a critical time. Cost is $1.00.
Newsletters are printed every two months. They include foot clinic schedules, Rest Haven meal menus, information on the various programs, recipes, poems, stories and community activities.
Friendly Visitor, home & yard maintenance, cleaning - these programs are available if needed.
Mosaic Fashion Show — there are 2 shows a year, one in Austin and the other in MacGregor. We have volunteers that model for the shows.
Computer Program — The goal of this program is to match volunteers who have basic computer skills, with seniors that need training. They can then meet and use the computers at the library or in their homes.
