Monument

A monument was placed at the corner of Roblin and Berkely in 1995 to honour those who lost their lives in world Wars I and II.

This shows the regimental number, the name, the burial site, date of death, and the ages of the young men.

The First Streetcar and Kelly's Store

This was the first streetcar that came to Charleswood in 1909. Kelly’s Store was later taken over by Craigs, and was called Craig’s store. This was the post office for the West End.

Second Chapman School

The first and second schools were lost by fire.

Charleswood School

Built in 1914. This school was SO large that it was the high school serving the whole district of Chapman, Loudoun and Charleswood districts, and the housed the municipal offices as well.

Charleswood United Church

Built in 1933 at the corner of Roblin and Harstone.

Anglican Church

Built in 1922 at the corner of Roblin and Haney

St Charles Ferry

This picture was taken in 1938. The Ferry ran to St Charles from before 1900 until 1959, when the Perimeter bridge was built.

1816 Map

Arrowsmith drew this in 1816, and it shows the Grand Passage of the Buffalo at the end Berkley St, and the oldest Pembina Trail Red River cart trail south from the Assiniboine River towards Pembina North Dakota.
