A standardized Acceptable Use Policy (view it here) has been created to assist CAP site owners in the task of making users aware of their responsibilities while using public access terminals. This is only an awareness tool. Users will have no difficulty by-passing this page if they choose to. Also, no information is recorded about the user's acceptance of the policy. It is the CAP site's responsibility to monitor activity of users, consistent with local policies.

1. Change the default or home page in the Browser's settings to:
   • http://communityconnections.mb.ca/aup.asp?s=
2. add a complete web address to the end of the address above. For example: http://transcona.cimnet.ca. Of course, you would enter the address of a local site, such as a CRN page or town page etc.
3. A complete address should look something like:
   • http://communityconnections.mb.ca/aup.asp?s=http://transcona.cimnet.ca
4. Verify that the redirect works as expected.
